Donors

Without the generous donations and guidance from members of the community, this bike shelter would not exist. We owe a huge thank you to the following companies.  To learn more about each company, click on their logo.

Hoffman Construction provided project mentoring throughout our design process.  They also were an essential part in helping us reach out to the  community for support. We owe a big huge thank you to Hoffman Construction, and more specifically Adam Bonner, without which our project would not exist.

The steel for our project, which includes all the columns and purlins, has been generously donated by  W&W Steel.  We would like to thank Tim Hunter from W&W, for making this project a reality.  It was this steel donation that provided the means by which the bike shelter could move forward and transform from ideas on paper, to an actual structure that would be built for Camas Ridge.

The steel elements in our structure will be given a nice new shiny coat of paint thanks to Pennington Painting Company.

Zip-O-Log Mills, a local Eugene company, gave us an incredible tour of their facility and have also  generously offered to provide the wood for our beams and benches.

The footings and planters for the structure have come from Fortis Construction, thank you for providing all the concrete and formwork.

Farwest Steel, a local company here in Eugene, generously donated the rebar for the bike shelter.

The rebar donated from Farwest will be bent using Knife River’s bending equipment.  Knife River was kind enough to give us a tour of their facilities, and let us witness first hand the awesome power of the rebar bending machine.  To see photos visit the photo gallery on this website.

What good is a bike shelter without bike racks?  Through a grant from Safe Routes to School Camas Ridge has thirty bike racks!

The Eugene Water and Electric Board has volunteered time and labor in performing the site excavation
